Educational Visits

At Parkside Academy, we strive to encourage achievement in all its forms and believe that out-of-class experiences offer our pupils important avenues through which to have fun and begin to understand about the wider world.

Throughout the year, pupils are offered opportunities to take part in a range of educational visits and trips. Some of these directly support classwork and coursework, such as the Geography field trip . Others may have broader learning implications with a social and cultural bias, such as theatre visits. There is also a well-established programme of taster visits to many of our most prestigious universities.

Opportunities to travel abroad are also offered as part of our commitment to developing our pupils understanding of their place in the wider world. There have recently been fun-filled and memorable trips ski trips to Italy and Disneyland Paris.

We organise our trips and visits within the Local Authority’s “Evolve” system for checking of risk assessments and ensuring the suitability of transport and travel arrangements.
