Student Voice

The ‘Student Voice’ is a group of pupils who represent all of the thoughts and opinions from fellow pupils. We are here to represent you and your views. It is important to have your voice heard.

Parkside is a ‘Rights Respecting School’, therefore it is important for all children to have a voice. This relates to Article 12, United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.

You have the right to give your opinion and for adults to listen and take it seriously.

Each tutor group has a representative on the committee who voices the views and opinions of their peers.

This ‘Voice’ of information is discussed, organised and decided upon by the tutor representatives and the Student Voice executive committee. Each member of the executive committee is assigned a role and is responsible for helping to develop the school by putting forward the views and needs of the pupil body.

As a Student Voice, we also aim to provide aid and support to worthwhile causes. This is one of our priorities as we deal with fundraising, environmental awareness and climate change and a variety of opportunities to support the local community.

The Student Voice has been extremely successful so far and we are hoping to continue to build on this next year.
